Skeeball In the Nation's Capital: Gaining Momentum
Founded in Washington, DC in 2009, United Skeeball Association offers competitive skeeball and social leagues across the nation. United Skeeball aims to create a fun and social atmosphere around one of America's most iconic retro activities.


WASHINGTON, DC, February 28, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- United Skeeball Association opened as DC SKee as the first Skeeball League in the Washington area in September of 2009. Since then United Skeeball has grown to over 1,000 players participating in leagues in four different bars, five nights a week.

In addition to bringing players together for weekly skeeball battles, USA has also been hosting a variety of special events all over the city through its Meetup.com group. The United Skeeball Super Bowl party drew an impressive crowd even in the middle of the blizzard of 2010. United Skeeball often joins up with area sponsors to make these events even more exciting by offering amazing prizes. The prizes have included a private table at a popular DC bar for the 2010 Super Bowl and an all inclusive trip for two to Las Vegas.

United Skeeball is not just about having fun. It is also about helping out the community. Beyond organizing skeeball leagues and special events, USA also regularly hosts fundraisers. Nearly $1,000 was raised for the victims of the earthquake in Port Au Prince Haiti and a Bar Triathlon will be held March 27, 2010 to support A-SPAN, a non-profit that provides life-sustaining services for Arlington's street homeless.
