With more than 34 years of experience in ministry, Rev. McKnight has devoted endless hours of service to helping people improve their lives spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially. She excels in conducting outreach programs, organizing community services, and ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ to all social, economic, and educational levels as well as all races. She brings to her position seven years of experience as a teacher in the public school system, as well as serving as an adjunct teacher for the local Southwest Virginia Community College. In addition to her work with The Fountain of Joy Church, Rev. McKnight conducts seminars and training for professionals especially in Emotional Healing. She is also known for her singing. She released a gospel album, "Behold At Midnight," in 1980. She has also conducted weekly gospel television and radio broadcasts for many years. She stays current with the trends in her profession by attending seminars and taking classes from such sources as the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Rev. McKnight, a certified teacher for grades K-12, holds a Bachelor's Degree from Berea College, Berea, KY and a Master's Degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University of Blacksburg, VA. , known as VPI. She aspires to expand her ministry internationally. She has assisted in crusades in Belgium and France.
